Low key italian restaurant located next to the Russell Square stop. Good choice for visitors staying at the Hotel Russell around the corner weary after a long day sight-seeing and looking for a casual dinner nearby and a glass of wine.
There are few things that make me happier than homemade pasta, and this place delivered here. My pappardelle with mushrooms was delicious. Nothing extraordinary about the menu overall, but a good choice for a causal dinner to enjoy simple homemade pasta and sauces if you're in the area. -

If you want rude service, be sure to come here for the royal Italian treatment in London.
This review is purely for the waitstaff at Bardigiana's who are clearly not interested in maintaining repeat customers. -

Went to this place on a whim last night...never again. My boyfriend and I got the fritto misto for two, which was a mixed seafood platter. The whitebait was clearly frozen and extremely strong-tasting, the fried calimari was not crisp and didn't taste fresh, and the chips and green beans were also frozen. The only thing that was passable on the platter was the scampi, and it wasn't even that great. I will say that the bruschetta was decent: loaded with tomatoes and garlic on crisp bread (something of a rarity to find). I would suggest going to Ciao Bella down the street if you are looking for true Italian food and don't mind waiting. Overall, this place was an extreme disappointment.

nice friendly place, great starters & main courses, the desserts were a bit of a let down, small but very cosy, very good value for money, if you fancy a top quality italian meal this is the place to go!
